Adecco is currently recruiting for one of their top clients a Procurement Specialist to work in their Head Office located in Regina. The Procurement Specialist will work in the Purchasing Department.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to;
- Prepare and administer formal and informal competitive bids in accordance with the Purchasing Policies.
- Review and analyze bid responses to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Authorize and issue purchase orders in compliance with the Purchasing Policies.
- Monitor and control the Stores inventory level determining items and quantity requirements to ensure project availability.
- Monitor and analyze potential purchases for opportunities to add value through price, quality, delivery, volume discounts and any additional corporate initiatives.
- Maintain information as required by purchasing procedures in either the corporate database system and/or the purchasing file for future reference.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Business Administration or Commerce Certificate and/or a Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Currently enrolled in the Supply Chain Management Association program or Level II of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) professional development program.
- One (1) year experience in the purchasing profession.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid Class 5 Sask driver's license or equivalent
The Procurement Specialist position located in Regina, SK is a one year contract with the option to extend the contract for an additional five (5) one (1) year terms.
