The City of Prince Albert invites applications for an Up to Twelve (12) Month Term position of Parks Manager in the Community Services Department.
Reporting to the Director of Community Services the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination, supervision and safe and efficient maintenance of all City parks which also includes forestry, cemetery and other natural areas. Experience in Landscape design, Urban Forestry and Horticulture would be desired.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervision of the Assistant Parks Manager and staff administration
Landscape Design
Contract Management
Inventory and Asset Management
Policy Development & Report delivery
Coordination of Parks Projects
Professional and Community Committee involvement.
Required Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Horticulture or a related discipline
5 years management experience in a municipal environment
