Applicants will receive on-the-job fire suppression training and experience through the Wild Fire Management Branch in the Ministry of Environment. Once trained, Crew Members will provide fire-fighting services when needed. During periods of low hazard duties will consist of routine duties such as cutting grass, working in the community garden, mechanical work, etc. A detailed job description is included in the application package.
This a two-year training program. Applicants who have previously worked in the NFPW (aka NWP) Program may not be eligible for employment. Please contact our Office directly for more info.
