Description

This position is responsible for supporting breeding activities throughout the field season. This includes assisting with seed set-up, leading a group of high school students through nursery plot maintenance and harvest and assisting in blackleg ratings.

Principal Accountabilities:
50% Collaborate with breeding technician to coordinate and execute on nursery plot maintenance, selfing and harvest. This includes leading a team of high school students and ensuring quality control
25% Lead students and temporary workers through nursery plot maintenace
15% Seed set-up support
10% Disease nursery rating support

Required Qualifications:
- valid drivers license
- good interpersonal skills
- ability to lead a group
- attention to detail
- ability to work outdoors all day
