Description

Light of Christ Catholic Schools (LOCCS) invites applications to fill a Summer Student position in North Battleford, SK. The position, unless otherwise agreed to, will run from May 2nd, 2016 to August 31st, 2016.  
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Summer Student shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
- Ensure that all school division buildings have safe, well-kept yards. This includes grass cutting and the maintenance of playgrounds,  
  tracks and perimeter fencing.
- Assist the Facilities department with other maintenance projects (i.e. painting, cleaning, moving furniture, etc.)
- Maintain school division equipment and tools (i.e. lawn tractor, grass trimmer, trailer, etc.)
- Assist Administration and the Technology Departments with entry-level clerical support on an as needed basis.
- Conduct oneself in a manner appropriate for an individual employed by an educational system that provides services to children.
- Be knowledgeable and supportive of applicable Board policies/procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by the Facilities Coordinator

Required Education, Abilities, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Maintenance and painting experience would be an asset.
- Enrollment in a Post-Secondary Program for the upcoming school year.
- Hold a valid drivers license.
- Ability to do medium/heavy work (exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
- Have proven skills and abilities through reference or previous work experience.
