Description:
The TEP II Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Training for Employment Program II (TEP II) for adults living with long term mental illness, in accordance with the agency mandate and the program goals and objectives. The coordinator, as part of the staff team, is responsible for the training of clients wishing to obtain skills that could possibly translate into meaningful employment in the community.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a post-secondary human services program, graduate from a recognized Life Skills Program or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with individuals with special needs
- Working knowledge of mental illness
- Experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation
- Experience in conducting interviews for casual employees and summer students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excel and MS word ability required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in petty cash administration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
- Minimum of two years experience in direct program delivery
- Conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
- Current first aid
- Class 4 drivers license
- Able to provide a clear security clearance (including the vulnerable sector)

Salary Scale: Determined in accordance with SGEU Local 5134 Collective Agreement wage rate schedule
Position is full time (35 hours/wk) & permanent, company paid health benefits & pension, salary scale $2756.75/month ($18.18/hr.) to $3203.84/month ($21.12/hr).
