POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cameco is looking for a subject matter expert in the area of IT security to work with a group of talented and dedicated individuals to ensure our global IT systems are secure and controlled. As a member of this team you will play a critical role in contributing to the success of the business technology services (BTS) department and their goal to provide technological solutions that maximize business value while minimizing risk.  You will be part of a team that implements the information security program, promotes IT security awareness, investigates IT security incidents, audits minimum security configuration settings and monitors the corporations information systems and environment for incidents relating to non-authorized use of privilege or external intrusion attempts.

Your responsibilities include conducting security evaluations and reviews, analysing security risks, assessing vulnerabilities, recommending the most appropriate security controls and improving security controls. In addition, you will be providing security recommendations within project teams, documenting security reviews, assessing system changes, administration of security tools and supporting security processes.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements of the position:
    Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
    Five years of releavant IT experience in diverse roles
    Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Assets:
    ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA or (ISC)2 technical certifications
