SAKIMAY FIRST NATIONS RETAIL ENTITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor, with overall accountability to the General Manager, the Customer Service Attendant is responsible for the operation of the point of sales system and electronic payment equipment. The Customer Service Attendant assists with routine cleaning, inventory stocking and control duties, routine maintenance and building repairs as required. Customer Service Attendants must be able to efficiently process cash and non-cash transactions in a courteous and professional manner. They must also be able to comply with the demands of shift work.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
A)Successful completion of Grade 12 and prior experience in a retail environment.
B)A willingness to take job related training as provided by the employer.
C)Skills to operate a computerized point of sale system and electronic payment equipment.
D)Strong oral and written communication skills to assertively yet courteously deal with coworkers, customers, vendors and management, in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
E)The ability to handle cash and accurately complete cash exchange transactions.
F)The ability to multi-task in a service related environment.
G)The ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
H)The ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and promote co-operation and teamwork within the work environment.
I)Demonstrate relevant time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
J)Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and dependability.
K)The ability to manage confidential information.
L)The ability to perform minor maintenance and heavy lifting.
M)Submit a Criminal Records Check prior to employment.
N)Willing to submit a pre-employment drug screen.
O)The ability to be bonded.
P)A valid drivers license and vehicle would be considered an asset.
