-Provide leadership for the McClean Lake Mill Engineering group.
-Project management for equipment maintenance and new equipment installations.
-Responsible for compiling equipment data sheets and specifying material requirements, capacity/ratings/material grade.
-Review and monitor project costs and maintain project budgets.
-Review critical equipment list and update as required ensuring required insurance warehouse stock is appropriate.
-Work within the AREVA Quality Management System; update and review appropriate work instructions, ensure maintenance contractors have required training certificates and proof of competency, and assist in preparing contractual agreements prior to contractors arriving on site.
-Ensure project activities comply with regulating authorities (Sask Labour, Sask Environment, CNSC, Sask Boilers Branch).
-Fulfil the duties of an AREVA Quality Control Inspector as outlined in the AREVA quality control manual for pressure piping and pressure vessel repair/construction.
-Participate in HAZOPs and Design Control review processes
-Work closely with the Chief Metallurgist, Operations and Maintenance Superintendents to organize strategic plans that minimize production disturbances.
-Mentor junior engineers participating in the APEGS, EIT, SASTT process.
Skills and Qualifications:
-B.Sc. Engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or Chemical Engineer
-P. Eng. registration or eligible
-10y+ maintenance or project management experience
-A strong background with industrial or process equipment design and field construction/installation
-Combination of strong theoretical knowledge of process equipment supplemented with practical hands-on experience (ie. Maintenance/Construction)
-Familiar with preventative maintenance strategies and shutdown planning
-Experience using MS Office SAP and AUTOCAD
-Excellent communication skills and good work ethic
