The Village of Lebret is accepting applications for the position of Municipal Maintenance Worker.
The successful applicant will report to the Foreman of public works, Village Administrator and Council.
Knowledge in the following areas will be an asset for applicants:
Maintenance and operation of grader, tractor, commercial mower, street sweeper, and all other equipment as required;
Road repair and maintenance;
Water and sewer line maintenance;
Water treatment and distribution;
Wastewater collection and treatment;
Maintenance of recreational areas and boat dock;
Understanding of landscaping and general grounds maintenance.
Grade 12 high school completion is preferred.
The employee will be physically fit and able to perform heavy manual labour, often outdoors in all weather conditions. The position requires a weekend on call rotation and occasional overtime.
The employee will be expected to pursue experience and training for the following certifications:
Class 1 Water Treatment
Class 1 Water Distribution
Class 1 Wastewater Collection and Treatment
Compensation will be based on experience and negotiated with the successful candidate.
