Position Overview:
The City of Prince Albert is currently inviting applications for a permanent Accounting Clerk position in our Financial Services Department.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Handling cash such as receipting, depositing, balancing, counting and miscellaneous sales.
Create and maintain records such as data entry, checking, posting and balancing.
Preparation of documents such as requisitions, invoices, billings, statements, and journal entries.
Attend to inquiries in person, on the telephone and by written communication.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12.
Certificate in a business related program from a recognized college/university.
Training and experience in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of basic accounting theories, principles and practices.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations and data entry with speed and accuracy.
Ability to deal effectively with the general public.
