Primary responsibilities:
Conducting regular inspections and monitoring of operational compliance within the company HSE program, legislation/regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements
Responsible for the maintenance and development of HSE documentation, ensuring they are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Take a lead role in incident/accident preventions, investigation and root cause analysis ensuring they are conducted and reported to all parties within a timely manner.
Plan, schedule, track, facilitate and report training of employees for all HSE requirements
Communicate all safety procedures to staff and maintain records of safety meetings
Provide HSE and customer specific orientation to new employees
Maintain online systems such as ISNetworld and Complyworks
Coordinate and manage our COR certified HSE program
Secondary responsibilities:
Ability to represent the company in front of clients in a professional and courteous manner at various events
Schedule and manage various public relation events as required
Qualifications:
5+ years field experience in a HSE role, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry
Health and Safety Certification (CSO, NCSO) preferred but not necessary
Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment with great attention to detail
Have the capacity to problem solve and thrive in high pressure situations
Ability to influence staff at various levels to promote loss prevention
Excellent, articulate verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and computer skills with multiple software applications
Special Conditions:
Ability to travel as required
Must provide a clean drivers abstract
Ability to work unconventional hours on occasion
