We are seeking candidates for the position of part time cook in our memory care community dedicated to residents living with Alzheimer disease and other forms of Dementia.
Candidates must have two years experience in institutional or full service restaurant cooking.
Responsibilities include: reviewing menus, preparing meals that are nutritious, appetizing and attractive, adhering to all food related safety/sanitation procedures and portion control policies, assuring food and supplies are available for meals planned, supervising preparation of serving carts, preparing and serving food punctually; adhering to procedures for storing leftovers, cleaning kitchen after meals, and supervising dining services staff in absence of the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
Complete Grade 12 and be at least 21 years of age. Must possess or obtain Food Safe certification.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
