Prairie Plant Systems, an innovative plant biotechnology company specializing in biopharmaceuticals, is seeking a full-time IT Infrastructure & Security Analyst to join the ICT department.  The ideal candidate is looking to join a dynamic & exciting workplace by applying their multi-disciplinary IT skills in infrastructure such as networking, servers and cloud virtualization, as well as IT security systems such as firewalls, VPN, access control, and video security.  The successful candidate will be filling a newly created role reporting to the ICT Manager and must be comfortable with hands on operational maintenance as well as assisting with longer term IT planning in a fast paced, growing organization.

Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage and maintain all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, web access, endpoint protection, network access, control systems, and video recording.
- Monitor security logs and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution. Identify potential internal and external threats.
- Provide hardware & software administration and maintenance for servers configured with Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare, and Linux; ensuring that availability, integrity & security is maintained.
- Configure and support critical IP based networks with troubleshooting knowledge in Layer 3, Layer 2, VLANs, Trunking and Spanning Tree technologies.
- Optimize IT infrastructure to provide business continuity.
