Description

This position involves the performance of two separate and distinct functions. Firstly, the employee shall act as the General Manager for the Nakoda Developments Corporation, which is the general partner corporation for Nakoda Developments Limited Partnership, being the main economic development entity for the Carry the Kettle First Nation. In addition, the employee shall also perform the duties and responsibilities of Economic Development Officer for the Carry the Kettle First Nation.
As General Manager for the Nakoda Developments Corporation, the employee shall be responsible for overseeing, managing and coordinating the day to day financial and business operations of the Nakoda Developments Corporation. Reporting to the board of directors, the General Manager for the Nakoda Developments Corporation charts the course, develops the vision, and implements the annual plans that will propel and advance the business interests of the Nakoda Developments Corporation.  The General Manager will work closely with the board of directors contributing experience and expertise by being a strategic thinker and participating in the development and implementation of the corporate strategic plans and key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives involving the Nakoda Developments Corporation.  
As Economic Development Officer for the Carry the Kettle First Nation, the employee shall be responsible for overseeing the day to day management, coordinating, planning, directing, evaluating and monitoring of all economic development programs and services relating to the Carry the Kettle First Nation. The Economic Development Officer shall play a lead role in the identifying and evaluating of economic development opportunities for the Carry the Kettle First Nation along with the development and implementation of economic development programs for the Carry the Kettle First Nation.
