Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for sales of a wide range of engineering and technical services into the manufacturing, mining, transportation, and construction equipment sectors. Key responsibilities will include
- achieving sales goals,
- planning, making, and recording regular calls on prospective customers to meet sales objectives,
- establishing and maintaining key-account partnerships,
- maintaining a database of key and target customers,
- preparing proposals for customers,
- keeping customers informed about new PAMI services,
- maintaining an awareness of applicable areas of technical knowledge,
- working with VP Business Development to assess accounts, propose yearly sales objectives, and review plans regularly throughout the year,
- traveling regularly throughout the prairie provinces and occasionally to other parts of Canada and the USA, and
- taking personal development courses.
The candidate should have a background in the industry/mining sectors and 5 to 10 years of experience in technical sales or a related role, along with effective communication and listening abilities. Strong computer proficiency and analysis skills are also required.
A college diploma or university degree (technical options preferred) are a definite asset.
