SIGNAL HILL ARTS CENTRE SUMMER PROGRAMER
May 2 to August 26, 2016 (dates are negotiable)

The City of Weyburn is a dynamic and progressive municipality located in the heart of Southeast Saskatchewan. The City has a population of over 10,500 and a solid economic and community foundation upon which new opportunities are continuously built. The Leisure Services Department is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity for two (2) students. The Summer Programmer positions are key components to the Leisure Services Department as they ensure that the day to day operations of Signal Hill Arts Centre summer programs are run efficiently.

The Signal Hill Arts Centre Summer Programmers will be responsible to:
Develop, implement and coordinate structured summer programs for children 3-12 years of age, young teens, special needs and senior populations;
Act as a Public Relations Ambassador (liaison with schools, community groups and organizations);
Booking, organizing, promoting, marketing and providing tours
Administrative duties such as budgetary, typing, filing, inventory, providing monthly reports of activities, monitoring and assessment of programs;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Students hired must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post secondary school or institution.
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Must have experience working with children and youth.
Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.

Salary will commensurate as per the CUPE Local 90 contract.
