Description

These positions are responsible for providing the required supports and attention needed in a group home setting for the residents to your care during an assigned shift by providing a safe & secure environment in order that residents can foster independent living skills. Requirement to follow the policies & procedures of RCI as set forth in the policy manual: to ensure that the values, beliefs, goals and objectives that reflect the Mission Statement of Rail City Industries Inc. are met.
Under the supervision of the Group Home Coordinator, you will provide a safe, harmonious and motivational environment intended to assist the client in devleop to an independent level of normal adult living skills. You will ensure that the personal care needs of client are met, & the safety of the client is ensured.
Key Responsibilities: assisting the team in implementing planning, intervention techniques, administrative aspects of client care management; interacting & maintaining contact with families & outside agencies. Also perform other related duties as required.
Our ideal candidate has: - Rehabilitation Workers Certificate or a combination of acceptable training with a minimum of 5 years related work experience in a group home environment. A combination of education & experience in a group home environment. A combination of education & experience may also be considered. Current certification in CPR, First Aid, WHIMIS, Food Safe & Transfer Lift Techniques. Is in good mental & physical health. An appreciation for individuals with a mental, physical or defined disability. Valid Class 5 Sk drivers license & clear drivers record. Is bondable
Hours of employment: shift work including nights, evenings & and weekends
