The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp Rocanville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Mill Operations Superintendent, the Chief Metallurgical Engineer directs and supervises the activities of the Metallurgical Department with responsibilities for environmental control, process development, and the metallurgical performance of the Division. The Chief Metallurgical Engineer must organize and motivate the staff to safely and efficiently achieve maximum refinery production and product recovery, maintain and control a high standard of product quality, and monitor and control environmental systems to conform to statutory regulations.
Candidates must have a BSc in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and must also be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a PEng. A minimum of five years related experience is required, which will include an extensive background in potash mining. It is essential that the candidates possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
