David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a senior IT leader for the role of IT Manager - Manufacturing. This role will be responsible for the strategic direction for the technology infrastructure as well as applications capability.

The role will liaise with the management team and communicate with the organization to ensure IT services are effective, efficient and aligned with the business needs.

The Role:

Lead strategic IT planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and providing advice on evaluation, deployment and sustainment of current and future technologies.
Provide effective coaching, mentoring and development for the IT department.
Contribute to a vision and comprehensive IT strategic plan for the organization.  
Develop IT project priorities, mandates and charters in collaboration with IT Steering Committee.
Provide hands-on advice, support and direction to departments on information systems to maximize utilization, resolve processing issues and enhance functionality.
Develop and maintain corporate IT principals, policies, procedures and standards.
Participate in developing and overseeing the departments annual budget

The Ideal Candidate:

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a relevant alternative
MBA, PMP, ITIL or other similar certifications considered an asset
At least 10 years experience in IT positions including 1 to 3 years in  a leadership role  
Experience in a manufacturing environment  
Experience with SAP Business One is a definite asset
Strong business acumen
Strong management and leadership skills
