Description

This position is responsible for assisting the manager in the day-to-day operations of the ReStore. The position assists in achieving operational, financial, administrative, volunteer and customer goals.  This position requires a person to lead by example modeling hard work, reliability, dedication to the cause and a positive attitude to the rest of the staff.

General Responsibilities:
    Assist with general oversight of store operations and volunteer management in coordination with store manager.
    Assist with Daily sales/cash register reconciliation
    Manage the store in the absence of the Manager
    Oversee and Assist receiving staff as required to maintain orderly flow of items in store and outside yard. Includes assisting with pricing, organizing, cleaning and display of merchandise
    Know and understand the ultimate goals of the Restore, and work with all staff to meet those goals.
    Organize, stock and merchandise the store, with safety for everyone being a top priority.
    Work with staff and volunteers to keep the store area clean and organized, the goal being to end each day ready for the next.
       Head cashier leading opening and/or closing duties.    
    Follow the primary directive of the Manager and provide assistance and collaboration.
    Inspect and approve donations, ensuring they meet our donations guidelines.
    Ensure that every donor receives a sincere thank you everytime.
    Treat customers and donors with respect at all times.
     Help customers in the store as needed, including loading and unloading donations.
     Be willing and able to communicate Habitats mission with volunteers, customers and donors.

A valid drivers license is required. Criminal record screening will be performed for clearance with restore volunteers.
