is now accepting applications for

Special Needs Educational Assistant

A Full-Time Educational Assistant is required to assist with programming for students with special needs as soon as possible.  

The suitable candidates will be able to perform the following duties:
>Assist classroom teachers with programming for the designated special needs student
>Work in and out of the classroom with designated special needs student, giving hygiene care, physical therapy care, and possible feeding care
>work with resource teachers in a team approach with programming and reporting for the designated special needs student

The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
>Grade 12 - preferred but not mandatory
>Experience or specialized training working with Special Needs Students is preferred
>A medical background and experience with Epilepsy
>Valid standard first aid & CPR certificate or ability to attain
>Transporting, Lifting, and Repositioning training (training available by division)
>Must be caring, loving, compassionate and enjoy working with children
>Ability to maintain confidentiality
