Crossroads Credit Union is looking for an energetic individual interested in a full time accounting clerk position. This person will report to our Manager of Finance and be an integral part of our accounting team located in our head office in Canora, SK. The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of Crossroads Credit Union strategic goals and will be responsible for or assist with a variety of administration and accounting functions that include:
* Data processing
* Audit
* Reconciliations
* Accounts Payable

To succeed in this role, one requires keen attention to detail, diligence to work independently, sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as a customer-oriented approach to their work duties.
* This position also requires a high degree of accuracy, prioritization of accountabilities, and
effective multi-tasking skills in the event of multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. We are looking for candidates with strong computer literacy, with a focus on MS Excel and who are able to learn new tasks quickly.
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service to all levels of internal and external customers.
* Flexible and adaptable; able to work in an environment of shifting priorities and pressures
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Previous experience in account reconciliation and data entry.
* An accounting certificate or diploma would be an asset for this position as would any formal
education in Accounting or Administration.
* 1 to 2 years related accounting experience or a combination of education and experience in a
related field.
* Previous banking experience / industry knowledge would be a strong asset
