The Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation (Fedoruk Centre) is seeking a qualified and experienced technical and business manager for the position of Facility Manager of the Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences. The Facility Manager will be responsible for a) the overall management of a radioisotope facility including production and synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals; b) maintaining the facility in a research-ready state; and c) optimizing commercial income.
The Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences is owned by the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) and operated by the Fedoruk Centre in Saskatoon SK. The new $25 million facility is a key infrastructure resource at the centre of collaborations and partnerships among the provinces two universities, the provincial health regions and industry.
The salary range is $115,000 to $145,000 per annum. Placement within the range is dependent upon education and experience. The compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits package including pension plan, life insurance, short and long term disability, sick leave, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, travel insurance, and employee assistance program; and relocation assistance.
Education: A recognized degree in a relevant scientific discipline (life sciences, engineering or natural sciences). A relevant graduate degree would be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years combined education and experience in a relevant multi-user facility with increasing responsibility demonstrating a capability to succeed with managing business and technical operations. Relevant experience includes radioisotope production, cyclotron operations, GMP production, pharmaceutical production. Experience with the CNSC and Health Canada GMP for PERs would be considered assets.
