Description

Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in Business Accounting or Administration or equivalent courses or experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel and common computer application. Excellent keyboarding skills required.
Knowledge of emPath, Kronos, JD Edwards and PCC is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent time management
Experience working in a Retirement Residence or seniors' environment.
Must have basic knowledge of accounting, accounts payable and receivables, payroll procedures and provincial legislation, WCB knowledge, experience in all aspects of day to day office routines.
The office manager will take pride in his/her work, be neat in appearance, mature, patient, understanding, able to set an example for all staff, and must be a competent person, as defined by the Health & Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensures that office duties and functions are carried out in a confidential, efficient, accurate and timely manner, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Answers incoming telephone lines and takes and relays messages as required.
Ensures that bi-weekly payroll, scheduling requests and benefits entitlement are properly inputted and submitted.
Maintains resident and employee personnel records and prepares reports as required
Responsible for the billing system and the maintenance of resident accounts
Responsible for the properly completing purchase journals, to be approved by the executive director
Sort and directs incoming mail and processes outgoing mail to the post office.
Reports directly to the Executive Director.
Carries out various clerical duties and other duties as required.
