Description

Yorkton Co-op is currently accepting applications for the position of Agronomist, at our $11.5 million Agro site in Ebenezer, SK.

As a member of our Ag Team, the successful applicant will be dedicated to outstanding customer service, be well organized, have a proven track record in Agronomy at the retail level and have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a highly motivated team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing crop production information to local area farmers, field scouting, making appropriate recommendations, arranging training meetings for the producer as well as creating Ag newsletters.  

As a skilled communicator, you are passionate about the future of Agriculture and Agri-business and are comfortable meeting with producers either on the farm or in a group setting.  As such, you will be responsible for the development and administration of an aggressive farm contact program with present and prospective customers to promote the agronomic services of Yorkton Co-op.  

Applicants are preferred to hold a Degree or Diploma in Agronomy.  Certified Crop Adviser Designation and candidates with several years of Agricultural experience will also be considered. The successful applicant will understand that physical labour is an aspect of the position and that there will be an influx in hours during peak seasons.
