Description

The Town of Kindersley is accepting applications for a full-time permanent Water Treatment Plant Operator, a position that reports to the Water Treatment Plant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Operating the Water Treatment Plant independently, and general maintenance of the Plant
Meter reading/replacement/installation/repair
Filter backwash
Filling chemical feeders
Pump and motor maintenance
Environmental water testing and sample collection

QUALIFICATIONS:
Class 1 Water Treatment and Distribution Certification
Aquatic Pesticide Certification
Standard First Aid & CPR/WHIMIS
Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
Valid Class 5 Drivers license
Good record of physical fitness
Ability to work with and respect fellow workers, management, Council, and the general public

This position requires 40 hours per week, working 10 days on and 4 days off. This includes weekends, holidays, and on-call schedule. This is a union position. Wages and benefits are based on qualifications and in accordance with the current CUPE Local 2740 contract.
