David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Technical Writer & Illustrator for Final Assembly Instructions, for its agricultural manufacturing operation located 2 hours outside Regina, SK.  

The Role:

The Technical Writer & Illustrator - Final Assembly Instructions is responsible for taking technical information and illustrating it in a way that can be easily understood and utilized by non-technical individuals. The successful candidate will be required to create assembly instructions for export build teams specific to new and existing product lines that have been shipped to overseas markets. Creating these documents requires a great deal of research and subject matter knowledge therefore the successful candidate must have excellent research skills. Experience with 3-D modelling software is a requirement.

Who are you?

University degree or technical diploma in Industrial Design, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
Experience in technical communications is an asset
Must be able to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Strong working knowledge of 3-D modelling software (Autodesk Inventor is an asset)
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is an asset
Agricultural and/or Manufacturing industry experience is an asset
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work independently in a peer-review environment
