The City of Weyburn is a dynamic and progressive municipality located in the heart of SE Saskatchewan. The City has a population of over 10,500 and a solid economic and community foundation upon which new opportunities are continuously built.

This permanent, part time position reporting directly to the Director of Leisure Services is required to work as part of the Leisure Services Department to plan, develop, implement and promote arts within the City of Weyburn.
The Curator will be required to:
-plan, develop, promote and administer gallery exhibitions at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery, Signal Hill Arts Centre and Weyburn Credit Union Gallery;
- oversee the City of Weyburn permanent art collection;
- identify opportunities and facilitates partnerships with arts organizations to benefit arts development in the community;
- keep up to date on trends, issues and policies in the arts;
- provide advice and assistance, through consultative services, to artists and arts groups;
- assist with the preparation and monitoring of the arts and cultural programming budget;
- keep records, statistics and reports up to date and meet established deadlines;
- prepare grant applications and follow-ups;
- prepare reports for the Weyburn Arts Council;
- perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
- possess working knowledge of fields such as fine arts, arts management and cultural administration;
- have two years? experience, preferably in Art Gallery Exhibition Programming;
- have a valid Class 5 Driver?s license;

Salary is subject to C.U.P.E. Local 90 Agreement.
