Siemens Transportation Group Inc., requires a high-performing Sales Director based in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon or Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible to direct sales efforts and meet revenue growth objectives.
The primary focus will be selling LTL services across Canada and the U.S. as well as Courier and Flat Deck. However, the candidate will be expected to understand and sell the other transportation services offered by Siemens Transportation Group Inc.
The position will require business travel.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies required to meet our financial goals
Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
Develop a sales program to coach, train and motivate a team of Account Managers across Canada and the U.S.
Communicate regularly with Account Managers and customers
Collaborate with Operations to evaluate accounts and identify areas of opportunity
Produce sales reports and budgets
Stay apprised of market trends, economic indicators and our competitors
Review and develop the Companys Action Plan while keeping in line with the sales strategy and objectives
Assist in developing the Companys Revenue Improvement Program
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of transportation sales experience (LTL, Courier or Flat Deck) and understanding of the Industry
Excellent communication and Inter-personal skills
Motivated to succeed
Proven ability to manage and lead a sales team
Good problem solving ability and negation skills
A valid Drivers License
50% travel required
