Work Location:102 Ravine Court,Saskatoon,SK, S7K4H6
Estimated Start Date:ASAP

Job Duties
Lead activities by telling or reading stories,teaching songs & taking children to local points of interest
Guide & assist children in the development of proper eating,dressing & toilet habits
Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems & prepare reports for parents,guardians or supervisor
Establish guidelines for behavior
Plan & maintain an environment that protects the health,security & wellbeing of children
Establish & maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers & community service providers working with children
Assess the abilities,interests & needs of children & discuss progress or problems with parents & other staff members
Support ECEs in carrying out programs that promote the physical,cognitive,emotional & social development of children
Engage children in activities that follow a play based philosophy that utilizes invitations,projects & documentation as the basis of observation & program development
Prepare snacks & arrange rooms or furniture for lunch & rest periods
Submit written observations on children to ECEs or supervisors
Discuss progress & problems of children at staff meetings
Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers
Order supplies and equipment
Assist ECEs or supervisors in keeping records
Maintain centre equipment & assist in housekeeping & cooking duties
Supervise & coordinate activities of other ECEs & enhanced accessibility staff
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress & problems of children
Watch & ensure safety of children all times

Requirements
Education:Certificate of early childhood education Level 2 is preferred but Level 1 is acceptable
Experience is an asset
First Aid Certificate & CPR are assets
Food Safety is an asset
