Pilger Regional Library requires a Branch Librarian with enthusiasm and passion for developing library programs using creative approaches. Computer knowledge is required and a keen interest in literacy and books. The position is located in Pilger.
Duties:
-Assisting patrons with locating materials
-Accurate shelving and inventory of library materials
-Developing library programs
-Carry out interlibrary loan procedures
-Assist with the efficient operation of the library including circulation, reference and mail
-Perform book repairs
-Work with the local Board to ensure that the community needs are met
Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
-Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
-Keen interest in books
-Skill in typing and computer knowledge
-Ability to understand and follow written and oral instruction
-ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
-ability to work with the general public
-Creative and enthusiastic
Training will be provided by Wapiti Regional Library.
