Supervising a multidisciplinary team in the operation and maintenance of building systems
Assigning tasks on a daily basis to team members and giving instructions and technical advice to the operations staff
Ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing and water-treatment systems is carried out within prescribed deadlines
Monitoring the budget in accordance with the levels indicated by the facility manager and ensuring compliance with procedures relating to the issuance of POs and the award of contracts
Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects, commenting when plans are reviewed and ensuring participation, at the commissioning managers request, in on-site inspections
Ensuring compliance with the legislation, guidelines, standards, policies, instructions and practices relating to health and safety and the environment
Conducting Monthly Meetings/Site inspections with building technicians
Maintaining excellent relations with clients and the team members
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in building operations or maintenance type roles required, supervisory experience would be considered an asset
Fireman, HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical trades or a recognized Building Systems Technician program is preferred
5th class Power Engineering, BOMA training an asset
Sound experience in the field of leased building operations
Ability to make enlightened technical decisions in emergencies
Good communication skills and sound leadership qualities
Practical knowledge of fire prevention codes, Building and safety codes
Knowledge of software in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) would be an asset
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license required
Experience with lift training or skidsteer is preferable
Willing to learn, able to work under pressure
