Donalds Fine Foods, a family owned global provider of specialty meat products has an opportunity available for a HACCP Coordinator at our Thunder Creek Pork Plant in Moose Jaw, SK.
The HACCP Coordinator will be motivated, results driven individual responsible for maintaining and updating a CFIA recognized HACCP Program ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards established by the Company, CFIA and 3rd Party auditors.
Please note this facility operates as an abattoir and a processing facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Maintain and update HACCP and Pre-Requisite programs, and related policies and procedures; conducting mock recalls and recalls
Accountable for annual reassessment of the Pre-Requisite and HACCP program, staying current with CFIA and Health Canadas regulations and any emerging regulations
Conduct internal plant audits including Pre-Op and Sanitation, providing recommendations for improvements/corrective actions and preventative measures
Organizing and conducting HACCP & GMP training for employees
Provide support and back up for QA technicians when required
Ensure compliance to CVS tasks and CFIA audits, as well as maintaining Grade A level for BRC audits
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years experience working as a HACCP Coordinator in a processing or manufacturing environment; preference will be given to those with food industry experience
Must have a HACCP Certificate from a recognized institution
Ability to write policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Excellent computer skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Able to work most shifts as needed
