Walsh Nemeth & Co. Chartered Professional Accountants is a Saskatoon based full services accounting firm offering services in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, taxation matters, both the preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns as well as tax and estate planning.  Our clients include small and medium sized businesses, (both incorporated and unincorporated) in the construction, retail, agricultural and service and professional industries.

We have an immediate opening in our service provider team for an accounting technician.  This position is full time and we offer a positive and flexible work environment to accommodate personal family matters such as a 9 to 3 work day, competitive remuneration, health and dental benefits and currently Fridays off in July and August.  Some overtime will be required in March and April.

As part of our service team, under supervision and direction, you will be responsible for the preparation of year end supporting working papers and financial statements, corporate income tax returns, T4 and T5 summaries and supplementaries, trust and personal income tax returns.  As such you should possess strong communication and analytical skills, an ability to work to and meet deadlines, strong organizational and time management skills and have an acute attention to detail.  

We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience in a professional accounting firm, familiarity with Caseware, familiarity with a tax preparation package such as Taxprep, ProFile or Cantax, and familiarity with Quickbooks and Sage Simply Accounting software, Excel and Microsoft Word.
