Job Description
The Medical Health Officer (MHO) is part of a multidisciplinary public health team that aims to continually improve the health and well being of the citizens of the Five Hills Health Region.
The MHO will carry out the responsibilities and duties as specified by the Public Health Act and Regulations, including communicable disease control, environmental health, disease and injury prevention, surveillance, health protection and promotion.
This position will be sharing full-time hours with another MHO and will work approximately 20 hours per week. The MHO will also be part of a provincial MHO rotation in provision of on-call services, including after-hours call. The hours are well suited for a physician with additional interest in family or emergency medicine.
Qualifications
RCPSC Fellowship in Public Health and Preventive Medicine (or equivalent) or Masters in a public health related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
In accordance with Canadian Foreign Worker requirements, preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
