General Statement of Duties
The Centralized Intake Worker will work between multiple community sites including the Saskatoon Friendship Inn and the Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre.
This worker will provide centralized intake coordination for the Saskatoon community including supports such as Housing First, and Rapid Re-Housing initiatives.

The Intake Worker is often the first point of contact for individuals seeking support to find and maintain housing. Working as an integral part of a community wide collaborative team, the Intake Worker provides information and support to help guide individuals through the intake and assessment process, as well as providing referral and resources that often divert people to the services that most appropriately meet their needs.
Scope of Work:
-    Create and maintain consistent communication channels, building a strong network of supports with Housing First, Rapid Re-Housing, and other community supports.
-    Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers, clients, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
-    Conduct intake and assessment utilizing established methods and tools
-    Provide advocacy and system navigation to assist individuals in accessing needed services.
-    Ensure effective communication through exemplary documentation and oral communication.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Requires knowledge in Housing First philosophy and strategies.
- Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in a related field.
- 2+ years experience with intake or case management
- Excellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources, social service agencies, and landlords in Saskatoon and area.
- Ability to speak an Aboriginal language is an asset
- Valid drivers license and a vehicle.
- Aboriginal candidate preferred (Please Self Identify)
