The Humboldt Journal and East Central Trader, award-winning weekly community newspapers located in northeast Saskatchewan are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic reporter with a focus on sports!
The ideal candidate will be able to multitask numerous duties while helping to produce a quality weekly newspaper as well as a strong online media source.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Organizing and writing community oriented editorial content, for the two weekly editions, online medium, as well as for special sections and other projects as required.
Editing copy.
Participating in the layout of the print edition using InDesign.
Maintaining workflow to ensure adherence to deadlines and high quality editorial content.
Communicating with staff in production and sales departments, the publisher and editors of sister publications.
Attend special functions and connect with members of the community.
Other duties as required.
