Description

PURPOSE: Becomes a valuable resource to the Drivers, Schools and School Boards.  This position will work closely with Dispatch and both Routing Coordinators.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assignment of drivers, regular and spare.
Completion of daily dispatch duties and statistical summaries.
Two way radio communication.
Prepare and submit payroll data.
Assign drivers and buses to open routes and charters.
Assist in organizing routes in August; update route files daily and as needed.
Maintain up to date records of operational information.
Communication of and adherence to Injury Prevention (IP) standards.
Ensures that routes are established as efficiently as possible.  
Maintains the routes for accuracy and efficiency.
May work with software programs to establish routes for drivers and the school district, as well as for charter drivers and charter routes.
Verifies accuracy of drivers route times and stop times on the actual routes are correct.  Verification may be performed through physical audits.
Demonstrates and promotes a safe environment at all times.
Assists the Contract Manager in establishing standard hours accuracy report.
May drive bus route as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
