Description

Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor, with overall accountability to the General Manager, the Pump Attendant is responsible for greeting customers, upon arrival and the operation of the fuel distribution and storage systems.  The Pump Attendant assists with minor cleaning, inventory stocking and control duties, routine maintenance and building repairs as required. The Pump Attendants must be able to perform duties throughout all seasons and be able to comply with the demands of shift work.
THE PUMP ATTENDANT MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
A)Successful completion of Grade 12 and a willingness to take training as provided by the employer.  Related work experience will be considered an asset.
B)Strong oral and written communication skills to assertively yet courteously deal with coworkers, customers, vendors and management, in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
C)The ability to work outside in inclement weather during all seasons.
D)The ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
E)The ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and promote co-operation and teamwork within the work environment.
F)Demonstrate relevant time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
G)Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and dependability.
H)The ability to manage confidential information.
I)The ability to perform minor maintenance and heavy lifting.
J)Submit a Criminal Records Check prior to employment.
K)Be willing to submit a pre-employment drug screen.
L)The ability to be bonded.
M)A valid drivers license and vehicle would be considered an asset.
N)Provide three (3) written references
