Description

YMCA Before & After School Site Staff

The YMCA of Regina Before and After School Program provides quality, structured childcare for students grade 1-6 on school premises before and after regular school hours, as well as on Teacher PD days at both the downtown and the northwest YMCA.

As a B&A Site Staff you are expected to, but shall not be limited to:
Lead and engage groups of 10-15 children by  implementing lesson plans daily.
Foster teamwork and open communication with all persons involved with the program
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and explore
Read, understand and comply with all YMCA Child Protection policies and procedures. Attend and complete training as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of organizational aptitude, creativity and an awareness of the overall YMCA mandate.Empowering youth and building trusting relationships with program participants and parents is an integral part of the site staff position. The successful candidate will act as a role model to program participants, and possess an inspiring and motivated approach to working with children and people.
Must be available to work flexible hours, Monday to Friday and have a willingness to work in various locations.

First Aid, free training offered.
Must provide current criminal record check.    

Wage: to be discussed upon hiring and dependant on candidates availability, experience and qualifications.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 6:45am-9:00am & 3:15pm-6:00pm
High school students and retired or semi-retired persons feel free to apply.
Must be available for afternoon shifts.
