Description

Senior Project Manager  


Oversee the planning, controlling and monitoring of projects, and direct resources to best meet project objectives.

Conduct weekly project reviews with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project scope, time, costs and budgets are being achieved.

Administer contract agreements, and ensure all contract obligations are met before project kickoff.

Oversee, navigate and resolve conflict disputes within the project.

Ensure work is performed to sound operating principles and company policy and procedures.

Monitor and actively participate in managing cash flow and receivables.

Conduct and/or review project estimates and total preparation/completion of construction tenders.

Ensure all objectives are reached to achieve contract completion and final acceptance certificates.

Secure and execute project administrative documents, such as Final Bonds, Insurance and Subcontract agreements.

Troubleshoot project concerns such as bad weather, scheduling conflicts, quality control issues, labour issues, contractor and/or client concerns and other unforeseeable matters.

Examine engineering reports to ensure quality control requirements are met, and apply appropriate corrective action when necessary.

Maintain availability to Project Managers and Estimator as a subject matter expertise, and provide and enable employees with the tools and resources needed to resolve project issues.

Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the companys Code of Ethics.

Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.



Qualifications


Minimum of a 2  3 year Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) designation an asset.

Class 5 Drivers License required.
