Evolution Catering is looking for an energetic, motivated, and fun individual to take our catering to the next level! Let your creativity soar as you create brand new menus for clients for large and small events.
Job Description:
Reports to: Head of Catering
Vacation Time: 2 weeks (10 working days) throughout year + 1 week (+/- 5 working days) between Christmas and New Years
Vacation pay: paid on every cheque
Hours of work: 40 hours a week; Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. 4 p.m. (subject to change with business needs)
Length of position: permanent, following a three (3) month probation period
Start date: As soon as possible
Purpose of role: to facilitate the daily functions of Evolution Caterings food service, including but not limited to catering preparation, delivery and service, daily service, breakfast/brunch & lunch prep, menu planning.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of catering orders using Evolution catering vehicle (must have license)
Maintain quality and speed of product output.
Adhere to cost control guidelines, maintaining a food cost of 28%.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Great organizational skills.
Basic food handling knowledge.
Expectations:
Be on time for every shift!
Put away (or help put away) food orders from Pratts, Pacific Fresh Fish, and groceries from daily trips.
Have a keen sense of urgency.
Complete catering order requirements.
Dishes and other cleaning tasks such as cleaning work stations, shelves, walls, storage containers.
