Description

Amec Foster Wheelers Mining business is seeking a Commissioning PCS Specialist in the commissioning group located at our Legacy project site near Bethune, SK. The successful candidate will liaise with the construction management team, home office engineering support, client personnel, and contractors in order to successfully support the commissioning stage of the project.

Key Responsibilities
Managing the ABB PCS Contract and providing PCS technical support and direction
High degree of interfacing with the client, ABB, company, and contractor team along with the commissioning and completions teams
Planning and scheduling of commissioning activities relating to assigned disciplines
Contractor management and coordination of cross discipline commissioning activities
Commissioning plans, processes, and procedure development
Assisting in the development and pre-population of the QEDI completions database
Developing specialty plans, procedures, and processes relating to automation and control
Assisting in the development of cross discipline check sheets, providing input into the system development program, the commissioning schedule, and commissioning budget
Liaising with construction area managers, home office engineering, and client personnel
All other duties as assigned
Role Requirements
Diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a combination or relevant training and experience
Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years focusing on commissioning in a maintenance and/or operational environment
Experience in the mining industry is preferred
Excellent knowledge of on-site construction and commissioning management processes
Proven leadership and management skills
