The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre Regina is recruiting for a Controller to join our team of Hospitality Professionals.
The Controller is responsible for the professional fiscal management of the Hotel which includes leading, coaching and mentoring the hotel accounting and purchasing team in providing timely and accurate financial and inventory reporting.
Some other duties will include:
- maintaining a system of accounts and internal controls to provide effective management of Hotel operations and provide timely reporting
- manage the night audit and cashiering functions including supervision and maintenance of procedures and controls over cash receipts
- lead the Hotel in preparation of forecasts and budgets and assist GM in preparing business cases/plans for the Hotel
- offer coaching to department heads regarding financial/business matters
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
- CMA/CGA designation or working towards
- min 5 years in Senior Accounting role with experience in leadership and supervision
- experienced in generating and analyzing monthly financial reports
- previous experience with Property Management Systems and POS is also required
