The Salvation Army Gemma House and Grace Haven
are seeking casual youth workers interested in working on a call in basis. Youth workers provide programming and support to at-risk teen girls between 12 and 17 years. Ideally, candidates will possess experience working with youth struggling with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. Training is provided.
Applicants must be available to work evening,
weekend, holiday and overnight shifts. Candidates
will possess a valid driver's licence, a current
CPR-1ST Aide certificate and be prepared to take
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)and Suicide
Intervention Training if they have not already
done so. Successful applicants will also be
required to present a recent Criminal Record
check, a recent Driving Abstract and a Child Abuse Registry check.
STARTING WAGE IS $17.00 per hour
(includes 6% vacation pay.Only those selected for
