Adecco is currently recruiting for an Accountant for a 14 month contract with our client, a leader in their industry. The accountant must have a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure related to all balance sheet accounts, in particular payroll. The account must also have a B.comm in Accounting but a designation is not required.
Duties:
Process, record, update and reconcile various financial documents
Perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities related to reporting, payroll and balance sheets
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure related to all balance sheets, in particular payroll
Compile month-end working papers and financial statements
Manage inter company balances and transfer pricing
Maintain and enter monthly journal entries as directed
Assist with external audits, account analysis and transaction history
Qualifications
B.Comm in Accounting
Accounting designation an asset
Time management skills, ability to multi task and prioritize with minimal supervision
Proficient with operation of PC
Proficient with ERP software
Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong communication skills
