As an instructor and mentor, the primary purpose of this position is to Identify, develop and implement strategies to assist and support current and prospective Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP) students in identifying and reaching their academic objectives.
Reporting to the Director of ITEP or designate, the ITEP Instructor & Mentor serves as a support person for the ITEP student body in both the on campus and community based programming. This position serves as an instructor for education courses and acts as a bridge between the College of Education departments and the Indian Teacher Education Program. This position also serves an academic mentorship role for students needing direction as a result of complex socio-economic, academic, and life transitional concerns. The proportion of on and off campus work is subject to change depending on need.
