Position Description:
Working with the Executive Director and the Finance Coordinator, the Bookkeeper Controller will be responsible for bookkeeping and accounting data reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation, monthly finance reports and providing information to the Accounting firm doing our yearly Audit. Ensure that donation programs, tax, invoicing, filing, parole and payables are done in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience bookkeeping for small business
Experience working with non-profits and Boards
CGA, CA, CMA designation would be assets
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Oversight over entering day to day transactions into an accounting program.
Measure and maintain key performance indicators, event P&L's ect.
Oversight over all activities performed by the Finance Coordinator.
Preparing monthly finical for the Executive Director and Board, Treasure
Oversight over workers comp and payroll remittances.
Oversight over Pay Pal balances and CAFT payments
Oversight over all financial transactions to ensure things are being done properly
Work with the Executive Director to assess the finical health of the SPCA on regular bases and make adjustments where necessary.
Present Financial to Board of Directors Quarterly.
