ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INTERN
The NWC Training for Youth Inc. in conjunction with North West Communities Wood Products Ltd. is seeking an energetic and forward thinking individual to intern in our Economic Development program. Applicants from Beauval, Buffalo Narrows, Green Lake, Ile a la crosse, La Loche, Patuanak, and Pinehouse, will be considered.
The intern would be responsible for conducting research, data collection, and asset mapping. This information which be used to enhance economic development, community development, and training in the NWC membership area. This individual will require excellent written and verbal skills and will be required to sit and meet with individuals, groups, and organizations. Data software use will be considered an asset.
Starting salary: 14-20 an hr based on experience, for 30-35 hour work week with some travel.
Great opportunity to learn and develop skills in the economic and business fields, the successful candidate will be mentored through the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association and will work with other interns from various communities in the North West.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12; with post-secondary experience
- Business Administration or Economic Development would be an asset.
- Must be 30 years old or younger
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Criminal Record Check will be required upon hiring.
